Modesta has authored 9 Career and Business books, and has reached over 20 million globally through high-level media, moderation, and public speaking engagements on respected platforms such as World Bank/IMF Meetings, U.S. State Department, AGOA, Africa Responsible Business Forum, London Business School, Legatum Institute, International Trade Centre, Women in Africa Initiative, Africa Innovation Week, and TEDx.
Modesta is an honoree of global leadership fellowships including African Leadership Institute, Fortune Most Powerful Women Global Mentoring Program, Africa Women in Management Awards, and President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative. She was recently recognized as one of 2021 Top 100 Speakers in Tanzania.
She serves as a Joseph Business School Trainer, and Board Director of several U.S. - based non-profits focused on equipping African girls for STEAM-related vocations, and women for career and business success.
Modesta holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Durham, and is an Advocate Admitted by The High Court of Tanzania.
She is married to Mhando Philemon Mbughuni, and there are parents to two dynamic world changers.
